"I love the side glass stained glass window that Jeff made for my home. It looks beautiful and fits perfectly. I was very impressed by the quality of his work. The finishing work is terrific. No one can see where the wood stain frame had been removed and then replaced after the glass piece was put in place. Jeff does quality work."

"Jeff and Debbie made us a beautiful stained glass window for our entryway. They were extremely easy to work with and were so knowledgeable about what would look good. Because of all their recommendations, we have a gorgeous entryway window. We couldn't be happier with the window and have had several compliments since we put it in.  I would highly recommend them for any stained glass projects. "

About

My name is Jeff Belzer and this is my wife, Debbie. Together, we operate our stained glass studio, J &D Glassworks, out of our home in Olathe, Kansas. We first met in 2002 when Debbie took a class with some friends at a stained glass shop I was working at. Little did she know that class would change her whole life.

I first got started in stained glass in 1986 when my parents bought a Merry Go Round Stained Glass shop in Overland Park, KS. I worked there gaining experience in stained glass construction as well as teaching classes and doing repair work until the shop was sold in 1992. After that, I began working part-time for J. Bradley Stained Glass, and full-time for a wholesaler, Mid-America Stained Glass, until Mid-America closed in 1997. At Mid-America, I became familiar with a much wider range of different glasses and materials as well as their uses and applications. After Mid-America closed, J. Bradley hired me full-time, where I honed my skills as an artisan and teacher. It was here that I met, and in 2003 married, my wife Debbie. She retired from GM in 2006. That same year the shop closed down, and we started our own studio. From the start, we were interested in traveling and being in craft shows as well as creating custom commission pieces and teaching.

We are expanding our show schedule and will update the website as shows are added. If there is a craft show that you think we should attend, please let us know at info@stainedglasskc.com.

We will continue to offer the finest quality custom creations as our own studio as well as working with other artists, such as Vivian Faulkner of Tall Poppy Productions, to create unique and beautiful works of art for your home, church, or business. We look forward to helping you with all your stained glass needs.
